Monmint
Burn

Take supply out of circulation

Send tokens to a dead address. They leave circulation permanently. You cannot reverse it.

Burning on Monmint sends ERC-20 or DEX liquidity-pool (LP) tokens to a dead address on Monad, permanently lowering the circulating and total supply. Connect your wallet, choose the token and amount, and sign — the burn runs on-chain and is irreversible.

FAQ

Common questions

How does burning tokens work here?
You burn tokens straight from Monmint. Connect your wallet, pick the token, enter the exact amount of ERC-20 tokens you want to burn on Monad, and sign. The contract sends those tokens to a “dead address” nobody can spend from (for example, 0x0000...dEaD). That takes them out of circulation.Warning: burning is irreversible. Once a token is burned, it is gone. You cannot get it back.
Why do founders burn tokens?
Founders burn tokens to reduce the circulating supply. A smaller supply makes each remaining token a larger share of the total. Teams also burn to mark community milestones, counter inflation, or signal long-term commitment to holders.
Will my Total Supply change on block explorers?
Yes. A burn through Monmint is a real on-chain transaction. The contract subtracts the burned amount at the protocol level. Explorers like Monadscan or Monadvision show your lower Total Supply right away, with the exact number.
Could someone else burn my tokens?
No. Burning only affects tokens held in the Web3 wallet you connect. Nobody can burn tokens they do not hold.
How do I burn liquidity pool (LP) tokens on Monmint?
You burn LP tokens here, without using the DEX interface. Open the Burn section, choose the LP token, enter the amount (most founders burn 100%), and sign.Burning LP tokens sends those pool receipts to a dead address. That locks the liquidity inside the DEX permanently. With the LP tokens gone, you can never pull the underlying assets back out. This shows your community the pool is locked.
