How to swap tokens on Monad at the best price

Swap MON and ERC-20 tokens on Monad using a DEX aggregator for the best route, and set slippage correctly to avoid bad fills.

To swap on Monad, open the Swap tool and connect your wallet. Choose what you're paying under You pay and what you want under You receive, then type an amount — Monmint's 0x aggregator finds the best route and fills in the output, the rate, and the least you'll get. Approve the token if it's an ERC-20 (MON needs none), click Swap, and confirm.

Swapping trades one token for another straight from your wallet. Instead of checking each DEX yourself, Monmint routes every trade through the 0x aggregator, which compares prices across Monad venues like Kuru, Uniswap, OctoSwap, and LFJ and fills at the best one.

You decide how much price movement you'll tolerate with the slippage setting — too low and the trade can fail, too high and you risk a worse fill. Monmint takes a flat 0.5% routing fee, and the amount shown before you sign is what lands in your wallet. You'll need the token you're selling plus a little MON for gas.

Walkthrough

Steps

  1. Open Swap and connect

Go to the Swap tool and connect your wallet. The You pay side starts on MON; if you're on the wrong network, click Switch to Monad first.

  2. Pick your tokens and amount

Under You pay, click the token chip to choose what you're selling, then set the token you want under You receive. Type the amount to sell, or use the 25% / 50% / 75% / Max buttons — your balance shows as “In wallet: …”. Max on MON leaves a little behind for gas.

  3. Check the rate and slippage

Monmint pulls the best route and auto-fills the output, the rate (“1 X ≈ Y”), and the “Least you'll get” amount after slippage. To adjust your tolerance, open the gear and set Max slippage — 0.5% is the default and fine for liquid pairs; thin tokens may need more.

  4. Approve and swap

If you're selling an ERC-20, sign the one-time router approval first (native MON skips this). Then click Swap and confirm in your wallet. The trade settles on-chain and the token you bought lands in your wallet — you'll get a “Swap complete” confirmation.

FAQ

Common questions

What slippage should I set?
For deep, liquid pairs the 0.5% default is fine. Thin or volatile tokens may need more, but higher slippage means accepting a worse possible price. If a swap keeps failing, nudge it up a little.
Why use a DEX aggregator?
An aggregator compares routes across many pools and sends your trade to the best-priced venue, so you get more output than picking a single DEX by hand. Monmint uses 0x across Monad's DEXs.
Does swapping cost a fee?
Yes — a flat 0.5% routing fee is built into the quote, on top of near-zero Monad gas. The “You receive” amount shown before you sign is exactly what arrives in your wallet, so nothing is hidden.
